Family Photos - Leesburg, VA

I chuckle to myself in disbelief as I write this because I have wanted to post these pictures for almost a year now.  The new year starts every January, but I feel like my new year has just begun.  I took these pictures last fall right when we found out I was expecting our second child.  Soon after, my morning sickness set in and didn't go away until our baby girl arrived.  It was a rough 9 months of feeling exhausted and sick and I was sad that it caused me to loose a bit of my passion for taking pictures.  I just couldn't keep up with an energetic toddler, the demands of pregnancy and posting photos I finally did get around to taking.  Now it's a year later and I figure it's better late than never and I want to share these pictures.  I really love these pictures but now I am looking forward to taking new family pictures as a family of four.

Creative Portrait Session: Ballerina 2 - Leesburg, VA

She might be small but she is mighty!  Morgan was a delight to photograph and she brought so much energy and life to this session.  The girls had so much fun running around, chasing the daylight and posing for a quick second as I captured such elegant poses.  I was astonished as I clicked away, and am still astonished at how talented these young ballerinas truly are.

Child Session: Sisters - Leesburg, VA

Late fall of last year, I did a photoshoot with two awesome sisters who knew how to ham it up and also pose like the pros as soon as I got my camera out.  Their cute little personalities sure did shine and I had so much fun running around with these girls.  I'll be posting the ballet session soon but wanted to share these pictures.

Child Session: Adventure - Leesburg, VA

Following these adorable twin girls around after a family photoshoot led to a little adventure on a country road.  It's so fun watching siblings interact and follow each other so I let them lead the way.  The air was crisp and the fall foliage was long gone but we stumbled upon a sunny hill with tall dried grass which made for a warm golden backdrop.
