What's Christmas without a little candy bribery?! Yes, I bribed my child with a big yummy candy cane in order to get these adorable pictures. I couldn't resist! Something tells me he has a sweet tooth like his mommy! I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and make sure to capture those sweet moments with your family.

Family Session: Sauvie Island - Portland, OR
Over the summer, I visited my family in Oregon and had the chance to take my sister's family photos. My sister and I both love rustic shabby chic, so we went on a little adventure to find a rustic country setting. Lucky for us, Sauvie Island provided endless farmland and gravel roads, and the setting sun couldn't have been more picturesque.

Creative Portrait Session: Alice in Wonderland - Leesburg, VA
I always have a tendency to go a bit overboard for Halloween and this year was certainly no exception. I couldn't help myself (and my husband had no choice) but I had to get pictures of our costumes, especially after the time I spent sewing everything together. The gardens at Oatlands served as the perfect backdrop for this shoot. I even felt in character as Alice chasing the White Rabbit! I hope you enjoy the little adventure below.

Family Session: Kai's 1st Birthday - Leesburg, VA
I had a lot of fun photographing the Gibson family and I loved all their smiles! Kai was so adorable and so fun to watch him destroy his birthday cake! I love the charm of the old buildings and the simplicity of the grassy meadow that was captured in this session.

Newborn Session: Sabeer - Ashburn, VA
Tiny little hands, itty bitty little feet and the sweetest little guy! Sabeer melted my heart when I met him. He must have known I was coming because he didn't want to miss a moment of his photoshoot! Luckily, once he was wrapped up and cozy, he drifted off to sleep and I was able to snap a few sleepy baby pictures.
