Mother & Daughter Session: Spring Time - Aldie, VA

Last month, I found a gorgeous field of flowers nestled away on an awesome piece of property in Aldie.  With the land owner's permission, I was able to go onto the property and capture such beautiful pictures of Alexa and her adorable little girl.  Spring went by too quickly but I'm so thankful I was able to have this session before the flowers were gone.

Train Birthday - Photography - Northern Virginia

This past weekend was my son's 2nd birthday and we celebrated with a fun vintage train theme.  He loves trains and was so excited to be able to play in one.  I spent many days constructing the train out of cardboard, pipe, wood, duct tape and grommets, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.  I made a few other decorations to go along with the theme including paper suitcases.  Although it was a lot of time spent towards the decorations, it was all worth it to see the kids and parents having a fun time.  It really was an awesome party, celebrating a pretty awesome kid :)

Child Session: Adventure - Leesburg, VA

Following these adorable twin girls around after a family photoshoot led to a little adventure on a country road.  It's so fun watching siblings interact and follow each other so I let them lead the way.  The air was crisp and the fall foliage was long gone but we stumbled upon a sunny hill with tall dried grass which made for a warm golden backdrop.

Christmas is here! - Child Photography Session: Leesburg, VA

What's Christmas without a little candy bribery?!  Yes, I bribed my child with a big yummy candy cane in order to get these adorable pictures.  I couldn't resist!  Something tells me he has a sweet tooth like his mommy!  I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and make sure to capture those sweet moments with your family.

Family Session: Sauvie Island - Portland, OR

Over the summer, I visited my family in Oregon and had the chance to take my sister's family photos.  My sister and I both love rustic shabby chic, so we went on a little adventure to find a rustic country setting.  Lucky for us, Sauvie Island provided endless farmland and gravel roads, and the setting sun couldn't have been more picturesque.
